As being the first ever automated driverless metro line of Turkey, Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy metro is not only the largest metro line which was awarded to sole contractor in Turkey but also the first to have Platform Screen Gates System in the stations. The project involves the construction of a double tunnel metro line with a length of 17,5 km including 16 stations and a depot connection line with a length of 2,5 km. The civil works of depot and maintenance area and control centre, fine works, portal structures, trackworks, power supply and distribution, signaling, control communication, auxiliary facilities, escalator, walking band, elevator, environmental control, establishment of traffic control center works, testing and commissioning works will also be performed.
