Following a tree-planting event, various sections of the facility were toured. Participants reviewed the process lines and furnace operations of the TROTO Flat Glass Furnace, which had been ignited on 21 September and gradually heated to approximately 1,500°C by 16 October. The first glass production process was also carried out live during the event.

Doğuş Construction had signed the contract for the “Şişecam TROTO Flat Glass Line Investment Construction Works” on 5 April 2022. The project, aimed at increasing Türkiye’s automotive glass production capacity, includes the construction of an industrial facility with a production capacity of 750 tons per day, a 23,100 m² building footprint, and a total construction area of 39,500 m², encompassing all civil works, electrical works, mechanical installation works, and mechanical process line works.
