Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line), one of India’s largest urban transportation projects, has officially commenced operations following an inauguration ceremony.

As Mumbai’s first and only fully underground metro line, the project will provide fast, safe, and modern transportation for 1.3 million passengers daily along its 33.5-kilometre corridor between Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR, featuring 27 stations.

As part of this landmark project, the UGC-03 section executed by the Doğuş Construction – Soma Enterprise Joint Venture has been successfully completed. The scope of works included the construction of 5 stations between Mumbai Central and Worli, excavation of 3.55 kilometres of twin tunnels, the construction of a total 5.05-kilometre metro line, and the completion of electromechanical works.
