Doğuş Construction continues to expand its presence in the Middle East. The contract for Phase 1, Section 1A of the Mid Island Parkway Project (MIPP), undertaken in partnership with GCC, was signed on 4 July 2024. The project, to be carried out in Abu Dhabi, was tendered by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT).
With this project, Doğuş Construction will commence operations in the United Arab Emirates for the first time, following its activities in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The project will be implemented within the framework of Abu Dhabi’s “Plan Capital” urban development vision and will contribute to improving the efficiency of urban transportation.
The scope of the contract includes upgrading the connection between the existing Saadiyat Interchange and the end of Saadiyat Island, as well as extending the route to the entrance of the tunnel planned under Section 1B. The project also incorporates a Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI) designed to manage traffic flow more efficiently.
Upon completion, the project will strengthen Abu Dhabi Island’s connectivity to major arterial roads, significantly reduce traffic congestion, and substantially enhance the region’s transportation infrastructure capacity.
