The project includes the design and construction of an approximately 5 km twin-tube tunnel beneath the Odra River in the port city of Szczecin, to be excavated using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM). Designed to accommodate one-way traffic in each tube, the tunnel will reach a maximum depth of 51 meters below ground level.

As part of the S6 motorway, the new bypass will significantly improve transportation links within the Szczecin metropolitan area, reducing the distance between Police and Goleniów from 58 km to 23 km. Upon completion, it will be the longest tunnel ever constructed in Poland.

The project is planned with a design and construction period of 90 months and is expected to be completed in 2033.
