The Doğuş Construction – Trace Group PL – GP Group Hold JSC Joint Venture has been awarded the contract for the “Bucharest Metro M4 - Metro Network Extension, Gara de Nord - Gara Progresul Section, Lot 1 - Gara de Nord – Eroii Revoluției 2” project in Romania.

Tendered by the Sector 4 Municipality of Bucharest (Primăria Sectorului 4 București), the project includes the construction, architectural finishing works, and metro electromechanical systems for the extension of Metro Line M4, including the connection to the existing Gara de Nord Station and the construction of 7 new stations. The total length of the metro line, including the stations, is 6.2 km, while the twin-tube tunnels to be excavated using TBMs will have a total length of 5 km. The project is scheduled for completion within 60 months.
