Doğuş Construction had been awarded as one of four finalists in the category of “Technical Project Innovation of the Year” with “TBM Entry Works Under Sea Level Near Istanbul Bosphorus” by ITA Tunnelling Awards, the world’s most prestigious tunneling competition. Accordingly, Doğuş was invited to China by the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association in order to make a presentation to a jury of 17 people. Barış Özcan, the Coordinator of Teknik Engineering participated in this event at Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Kaidi and addressed TBM tunnelling techniques, design approaches and ground improvement works applied at the last 300 meters to Üsküdar Station besides TBM entry works within the scope of Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy Metro Project which is constructed by Doğuş Construction as the sole contractor.

Because Doğuş Construction was the only Turkish company nominated as one of the finalists among 234 nominees in this year’s contest which received 650 entries worldwide, it was qualified for a certificate of appreciation in the award ceremony that took place at Sheraton Chuzhou Hotel in November 7, 2018.
